Based in Queensland since 1986, my artistic journey began long before in London. Graduating with a B.A. from the prestigious St. Martin's School of Art in 1971, my rigorous classical training instilled a lifelong passion for structural and life drawing. Early in my career, I found success illustrating for the Oxford University Press and designing textiles for London's vibrant fashion scene alongside designers like Vivienne Westwood.
Today, with the absolute freedom to follow my creative instincts, my practice revolves around the natural world, capturing the essence of both human and animal subjects. Working primarily from life in oils and watercolours, I strive to bring classical realism and timeless elegance to every canvas.
